On the pocket knife HK x-15 the blade thumb tab is designed after the magazine release the USP pistol and can be operated from either side. The blasted drop Point blade has a partially serrated edge.

For more than four decades the company Heckler & Koch from Oberndorf am Neckar is one of the world's leading manufacturer of police and military weapons. Almost every elite unit is equipped with weapons from this company. In addition to the well known firearms program, a tactical knives program has now been developed with the same criteria for quality and with design elements from the HK pistols. The handles are made of the same fiberglass reinforced plastic as the pistol grips and thus have the same non-slip surface. The knife can be disassembled to clean completely. The left-and right-mountable pocket clip is made of round spring steel. The X-15 TN blade steel has a high quality cutting edge and a Rockwell hardness of 58 HRC and is extremely corrosion resistant.
