The Böker Plus Appalachian Ax Big silver is perfectly designed for two-handed work. The ax head made of Carbon Steel 1095 is made with an above-average carbon content and material standard even for higher priced axes. The universally designed blade thickness is capable of felling and splitting. The lower tip can be used as a turning hook for pieces of wood. The material is protected against rust by a protective varnish. American hickory, which breaks with long fibers, is used for the handles, which is far superior to European ash in terms of breaking elasticity and shock load tolerance.
