The Maxpedition Volta Battery Case can of course also be without the insert used as small belt pouch with space for a cell phone, iPod, shotgun shells or similar. To attach it to the belt or other equipment small Malice Clips are required (not included).

Habe mir die Tasche in erster Linie geholt, um meine Batterien zusammen zu halten, nachdem ich sie fast auf einer Wanderung verloren hätte.
Die Tasche habe ich mit zwei TacTies auf der oberen Tasche meines Condor II befestigt. Dank des flachen Profils trägt das Battery Case nicht auf. Das Inlay habe ich bisher nur mit Mignon- und Microzellen befüllt. Photozellen zum testen kommen erst demnächst dran. Bei den Mignonzellen klappert es kaum. Bei den Microzellen klappert es jedoch merklich wegen des kleineren Durchmessers der Batterien, die somit keinen richtigen Halt finden. Ich habe das Problem vorerst so gelöst, dass ich die Batterien mit einem Gummiband miteinander \"verbunden\" habe. Seitdem klappert es merklich weniger.
In wie weit die Batterien in dem Inlay spritzwassergeschützt (wasserdicht wohl kaum wegen fehelnder Dichtung) sind, kann ich leider nicht sagen. Evtl. muss man sich dabei noch mit einer Umhüllung behelfen.
Ansonsten ist das Battery Case super für den schnellen und geordneten Zugriff auf die Batterien.
