This boot from LOWA is the ideal companion for long marches even with heavy pack. The new color coyote OP is slightly darker than the normal version and adapted to the current needs of the U.S. Army. The MONOWRAP® sole construction and the use of different PU curing make rapid movements and changes of direction a real pleasure. The 20 cm high shaft consists of 2.0 mm thick split leather and has 8 eyelets. The "Cross Duty" rubber outsole provides excellent grip and fantastic traction on different surfaces. The Gore-Tex laminate lining reliably prevents the ingress of water or contaminated liquids. Thus, you always have optimal and all-round protection and climate comfort for your feet.

The Coyote OP color (from sole to laces, nice!) matches the lighter shades of forrest floor and dead leaves, and works very well in those conditions. Gore-tex protection has been stellar so far, as expected (ankle-deep creek, wet grass ..etc).

Ankle support is okay, might be improvable. The general fit is tight initially, width-wise (length-wise there's a lot of room to spare); but becomes very comfortable after a day of use.
Looking forward to years of solid usage.
