Very robust material and yet the backpack is very light. I find the division of subjects very good. A net and back pocket on the inside, a pocket for quick access at the front, and two practical mesh pockets on the outside where even a liter of reusable bottles can be stored. The mesh backing is also very good, no more sweating when hiking. The backpack also withstood the wet endurance test. In the lower floor, the protective cover was covered in no time at all and withstood even a 1-hour downpour. Very successful and practical hiking backpack that can accommodate everything for a day trip for 2 people including rainproof jackets. I also like the compression straps and the many loops that can be found on the backpack for various things. Rating 1 with star, highly recommended.

I bought the Essl RU31 as a patrol backpack and am more than satisfied. Very good fit and fits well even if you wear a plate carrier. Ideal for short tours and, in contrast to Berghaus Munro, a good storage system with several storage compartments+integrated rain cover & helmet holder. The straps are not the most robust but more than sufficient for lightweight luggage. I think no one goes on an IGF march with the backpack

Material and workmanship are good, wearing comfort is very good. I use it as a lightweight hiking backpack for day trips. The good ventilation due to the stretched mesh backing is quite pleasant in summer. The two side pockets (mesh) each hold a 1L bottle. It is possible to attach a hydration system to the main compartment. A small removable zip pocket sits on one side of the waist belt. Price/quality ratio is very good.
