Carinthia Schlafsack XP Down 1000 Large
The sleeping bag is a really convincing product. I was able to try it out at around -15°C and you slept restfully, except for a cold nose and an icy head opening on the sleeping bag... With plenty of freedom of movement, it was pleasantly warm in no time at all. The workmanship is outstanding and with a height of just over 186 cm, Large is neither too big nor too small. It is like a pleasantly thick duvet in which you sleep, which is also very light and compressible and has virtually no cold spots. This is not least because the filling is uniform at every point of the bag. You get used to the impractical-looking military center zipper right away, but not to the many Velcro areas on the wind bar. In any case, they have their right to exist, but they are also annoying when opening and closing the RV. Neglect. There is no heat collar, which is not a bad thing. I also use an inner sleeping bag to keep the down cleaning costs as low as possible (loss of insulation) and to provide additional comfort and insulation. I consider a comfortable night's sleep clothed and, depending on my type, down to around -25°C realistic, provided that there is floor insulation! The bottom line is a product worth buying for wilderness enthusiasts with larger budgets, which has hardly any noteworthy deficiencies but requires higher maintenance. Dryness and sufficient shaking/ventilation are mandatory when down, otherwise you won't enjoy it for long!
