In contrast, our casual shoes or sneakers generally offer no protection against moisture and should therefore mainly be worn on dry days.

The socks you wear in your functional shoes are a crucial factor for your walking comfort. The padding on the ball or heel of the socks not only cushions every step, but also prevents the formation of painful blisters in your casual shoes. The right socks in combination with your comfortable functional shoes therefore provide excellent wearing properties and maximum walking comfort on all your tours.

When trying on your new casual shoes, you should make sure that they offer enough room to move both at the heels and at the toes. Since, for example, when walking downhill your feet automatically slide forward, we recommend leaving about 10–15 mm of space in everyday and leisure shoes. If, on the other hand, you are buying performance footwear for sports activities or hiking, then according to our rule of thumb you should have between 15 and 20 millimetres of space in your new companions.
