What should be considered when using backpacks?

Die Rucksäcke können ohne Vorbereitung verwendet werden. Besonderheiten die beachtet werden müssen, existieren im Prinzip nicht. Das Lesen der Gebrauchsanleitung gibt wertvolle Hinweise zum Aufbau, der Verwendung und den Eigenschaften bzw. der Funktionen der Rucksäcke, die sich teilweise doch deutlich unterscheiden.
Tipp: Vor der Benutzung des Rucksacks sollte dieser in jedem Fall auf die Größe des Trägers eingestellt werden. Dies schont den Rücken und sorgt für einen optimalen Tragekomfort.
Der Rucksack sollte seinem Träger neben der Haupt-Aufgabe ermöglichen, Gegenstände auch vor der Witterung zu schützen. Die geordnete Unterbringung in den verschiedenen Rucksack-Fächern erlaubt einen schnellen und unkomplizierten Zugriff. Vor dem Anlegen des Rucksacks sollte darauf geachtet werden, dass die jeweiligen Reißverschlüsse richtig zugezogen wurden.

Welcher Rucksack ist der richtige für mich?

Before choosing the right backpack, you should take a look at its design. Backpacks can be used for many different applications, but depending on the intended use, a different model may be recommended. The respective camouflage colors, for example, should be matched to the area of operation. Effective camouflage is only possible in this way. The second important selection criterion is the size and volume of the backpack. The models in our range have different capacities and larger or smaller side pockets.
In addition to purely functional and practical considerations, you should also make sure when choosing a backpack that it harmonizes with the rest of your clothing. Strong color deviations can impair the overall look and reduce the camouflage effect. The selection should not be based on the manufacturer. We are aware of our quality standards and have therefore stocked our range exclusively with products from renowned brand manufacturers.
The material of most backpacks is polyester. This ensures optimal resistance to external weather influences such as rain, snow and sunlight when backpacking. The weight of the backpacks is generally around one kilogram. There are no major differences in this respect. Some backpacks have a removable hip belt and padded shoulder straps. Carry handles can be an advantage depending on the intended use. Many models have a breathable back and shoulder straps that prevent sweat from being absorbed.

Erweiterung des Rucksack Volumens durch Anbringen eines MOLLE-Systems. Mollen sind ein militärisches System zum Befestigen und Tragen von Ausrüstung und Gegenständen. Das System ist extrem variabel und kompatibel. Die Molle-Taschen lassen sich beliebig an die gewünschte Position am Rucksack anbringen. Die Schlaufen sind auf den Molle-Träger vertikal angebracht, so dass die Mollen und Kompressionsriemen bestens ineinander verflochten werden können.

Wie wird ein schwerer Rucksack aufgesetzt?

Man greift mit der linken Hand an den Tragegriff, mit der rechten unter den Schultergurt. Der linke Fuß steht vor dem Rucksack, das Bein ist leicht gebeugt. Dann zieht man nun den Rucksack mit Schwung nach oben zu sich hin und stellt ihn auf dem linken Knie ab. Den Tragegriff lässt man nun los. Danach greift man unter dem Schultergurt durch und weiter bis unter den Rucksackboden und wuchtet den Rucksack mit der rechten Hand mit Schwung auf den Rücken. Nun führt man den rechten Arm unter das Schulterpolster und schon ist der Rucksack auf den Schultern.

What to do about a musty backpack?

There are laundry disinfectants, e.g. from Sagrotan, but also no-name products. You add these to the fabric softener compartment of the washing machine, or you can use grandma’s trick with vinegar essence – the vinegar smell disappears quickly in the air.

Wie reduziert man das Gesamtgewicht?

To reduce the overall weight, it’s not enough to just buy lightweight gear and throw it into your backpack. Instead, you need to engage intensively with the planned tour and know your own abilities, needs and experience. Why is that? Imagine you’ve packed the lightest version of everything, but at the end of the tour you realize that half of what you brought wasn’t needed at all. The lowest possible weight can therefore only be achieved if the equipment is selected with good planning and common sense.

5 Gegenstände die in keinem Rucksack fehlen dürfen:

Man kann sicher einiges einsparen, siehe den vorherigen Absatz. Was aber unbedingt mit auf Tour muss:
- Ein Dokument, um sich auszuweisen (Reisepass/Personalausweis),
- EC/Kreditkarte sowie die Krankenversicherungs-Karte (für Notfälle),
- Panzerband (Klebeband),
- Feuchttücher und
- Ohrenstöpsel.

Are there alternatives to a backpack?

There are various alternatives to a backpack: WEB gear / LBE (Load‑Bearing Equipment) and LCE (Load‑Carrying Equipment). All are easy to handle and, depending on the intended use, offer a good alternative to a backpack.
