Kelly Kettle - Whistle Valve Base Camp and Scout

Whistle for the Base Camp and Scout models. The metal whistle in the green rubber casing fits old and new Kelly Kettly models and signals with a whistle tone when the water is boiling.
The whistle should not be confused with the orange plug on some older models; this must be removed before use!

Use:
Do not fill the kettle completely. Carefully and loosely place the green whistle on the spout, observing the arrow direction so that the hot steam escapes downwards. Do not force the whistle into the opening; this way it can be easily removed. Once the water boils, remove the kettle from the heat and let it stand for about one minute. Hold the handle with one hand. With the other hand, gently pull the whistle out. Then pour the water from the kettle as usual.
