The original Bundeswehr KSK thermal mat Synmat 9 LW by Exped was developed for the Kommando Spezialkräfte (KSK) and provides reliable protection from cold and moisture during outdoor, camping, and trekking missions. Thanks to the integrated pump, the mat can be inflated quickly and hygienically – without introducing moisture inside. The microfiber chambers filled with Thermofleece provide excellent insulation down to around -20 °C and reliably block ground cold.
The well-thought-out design with stable air chambers guarantees a high level of sleeping comfort even on uneven ground. Deflation is effortless via the deflation valve or drain cap. The mat can be rolled up to save space and stowed in the stuff sack – ideal for demanding outdoor use.
