Sie dient als praktisches Ersatzteil für Rucksäcke und ermöglicht das schnelle Nachrüsten oder Ersetzen beschädigter Gurtband-Fixierungen. Der offene Steg erlaubt das einfache Einfädeln in vernähte Gurtbandschlaufen, ohne Nähte auftrennen zu müssen.
