In 1963, Gaston Glock founded a company in Deutsch-Wagram near Vienna to manufacture various steel and plastic components. With growing experience and refinement of the processes, he discovered the possibilities of combining both materials and their suitability for military purposes, which led to a change in direction.

Before long, the Austrian Bundesheer became one of his customers. Today, the company supplies military and security forces worldwide, and Glock has also made a name for itself among hunters and in the private outdoor sector.
