The Sonic Defenders Ear Pro EP3 from SureFire are impulse hearing protectors with the patented Hocks Noise Braker filter system, which allows normal conversations, lets you perceive ambient sounds almost unaltered and reduces impulse noise to a tolerable level.
Another option is provided by the stopper plugs, which dampen all ambient noise (recommended from a continuous noise level of 85 decibels).
This makes the Sonic Defenders particularly suitable for use in the military, firearms training, etc., and they are also popular at concert events.
