Information according to the German electrical and electronic equipment law (ElektroG)

In our shop we offer electrical and electronic equipment that falls under the Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG) of the Federal Republic of Germany. If these have become no longer usable, they are referred to as "old devices". The proper disposal of "old devices" is important to us.

Using the symbol of a crossed-out garbage can, owners can identify old devices which at the end of their service life must be disposed of separately from household waste. Old batteries and battery packs that are not enclosed by the device should be removed from it before disposal. Owners of old devices from private households can hand them in at the collection points of the public waste disposal authorities or at the collection points set up by manufacturers or distributors in conform of the ElektroG. They do not belong in the household waste! You can find an online directory of collection and return points here.

This ensures that old devices are properly recycled and negative effects on the environment are avoided.

We are a member of the take-back system, our WEEE reg. No. is DE 65010510. You can find more information at www.take-e-back.de

Information in accordance with the German Battery Law (BattG)

In our shop we offer batteries and rechargeable battery packs that fall under the Battery Laws (BattG). The proper disposal of used batteries is important to us.

Old batteries can contain pollutants which, if not properly stored or disposed of, can damage the environment or your health. In addition batteries also contain important raw materials that can be recycled.

Batteries containing pollutants are marked with a symbol consisting of a crossed-out garbage can and the chemical symbol (Cd / cadmium, Hg / mercury or Pb / lead) of the heavy metal that is decisive for the classification as pollutant.

As a consumer, you are legally obliged to dispose of old batteries properly. Disposal in household waste is expressly prohibited according to the battery laws (BattG). You can dispose of used batteries and battery packs free of charge at a communal battery collection point or in your local shop. Of course, you can return the batteries purchased from us at one of our branches after use, or you can discharge them and send them at your cost back to us by post.
