FMA's helmet adapters allow for the convenient attachment of Peltor Comtac I and II headsets to helmets. The adapter features two clamps on each side into which the headset mounting pins click. Combined with the rail adapters, the earpieces can then be attached to the helmet's Picatinny rails. The advantage of this adapter is that the headset can be folded away from the ear when not in use, allowing sound and air to reach the ear. At the same time, acoustic protection and communication capabilities remain readily accessible and can be restored with a single movement.
