Buying the right suspenders for discerning users

Almost all suspenders in our range can be adjusted in length to the wearer’s height using loops and tabs. Before first use, they should therefore be precisely adapted to your own body measurements.
Important: Suspenders should not only provide a comfortable and secure fit when standing, but above all perform their job during all body movements. To test the optimal fit and correct length, you should therefore try out a wide range of activities with this equipment so you can rely on its comfort in the field.
The suspenders are attached to clothing using different methods, e.g. clips/Velcro, buttons, buttonholes for attaching to special leather trouser buttons, or fixed hooking. Depending on your planned activities, you should carefully consider which type of fastening best suits your personal needs.

What types of suspenders are available at ASMC?

None of our suspenders are intended as a classic addition to everyday outfits; instead, they form part of high‑quality gear for trekking tours, maneuvers and other activities. Of course, camouflage suspenders can also be worn in your free time or – quite provocatively – at traditional costume parades or Oktoberfest as a style element. In addition to the classic versions that go over the shoulders, we also offer wide and narrow elastic straps that are more stretchable and flexible than traditional suspenders. Our online shop also features multiple cross‑back designs inspired by US military gear, which can also be used for sports, for example. The color variations cover the most popular shades: black, brown and green.

Which suspenders should be chosen for which activity?

On hikes or trekking tours, sturdy elastic bands that are specially designed to hold leisure and sports trousers are usually sufficient. These ensure that the trousers stay securely in place through countless movements. Suspenders, which are available here at ASMC as complex harness systems, are the best choice for field exercises and similar activities and can also be used with ill-fitting jeans or leather trousers.
