Performance badges are both recognition and proof of achievement
The Bundeswehr recognizes outstanding achievements with an official badge that honors and commends the wearer. ASMC not only carries Bundeswehr badges, but also offers international insignia.
How often should dressings/bandages be changed?
The wearers of the badges have achieved outstanding performance in very different areas, and the respective variants not only acknowledge this. They also let everyone else know that the wearer of such a badge possesses special skills. Depending on which badges they are and how they are worn, they are made of fabric or metal. From marching performance and first aid to lone fighters and sharpshooters with pistol and rifle, there are badges for all units of the Bundeswehr, including reservists. The best known are probably the insignia for athletes, which can regularly be seen on the uniforms of elite athletes on TV. The medals for athletes are also available in a mini version with a pin for attaching to the lapel.
Are these officially recognized awards?
Yes, the Bundeswehr has approved the sale of the respective badges. Of course, the badges may also be worn on duty.
Does a badge require proof of entitlement?
