In our shop we offer electrical and electronic devices that fall under the Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG). Once they become waste, they are referred to as “waste equipment”. Proper disposal of this “waste equipment” is important to us.
Owners can recognize waste equipment that must be collected separately from unsorted municipal waste at the end of its service life by the symbol of a crossed-out wheeled bin shown. Waste batteries and accumulators that are not enclosed by the waste equipment must be removed from it before it is handed in. Owners of waste equipment from private households can hand it in at the collection points of the public waste management authorities or at the take-back points set up by manufacturers or distributors within the meaning of the ElektroG. It must not be disposed of with household waste! You can find an online directory of collection and take-back points here.
This ensures that old devices are properly recycled and negative impacts on the environment are avoided.
We are a member of the "take-e-back" take-back system, our WEEE registration number is DE 65010510. You can find more information at www.take-e-back.de
In our shop we offer batteries and rechargeable batteries that fall under the German Battery Act (BattG). Proper disposal of used batteries is important to us.
Used batteries may contain harmful substances which, if not stored or disposed of properly, can damage the environment or your health. However, batteries also contain important raw materials that can be recycled.
Batteries containing harmful substances are marked with a symbol consisting of a crossed-out wheeled bin and the chemical symbol (Cd/cadmium, Hg/mercury or Pb/lead) of the heavy metal that is decisive for the classification as hazardous.
As a consumer you are legally obliged to dispose of used batteries properly. Disposal in household waste is expressly prohibited under the German Batteries Act (BattG). You can hand in used batteries and rechargeable batteries free of charge at a municipal collection point or at local retailers.
Of course, you can also return batteries purchased from us to one of our stores after use, or send them back to us discharged and with sufficient postage.
