When choosing your new one-person tent or similar, you should first consider the intended use. Not all 1-person tents are suitable for the same areas of application.

First, you should clarify whether you want to sleep outdoors alone. In that case, it makes sense to buy a smart one-person tent. If, on the other hand, you prefer more space as a single person or are traveling with another person, you should opt for a two-person tent. Two-person tents are significantly more comfortable and offer users many times more space.

Once you have decided on the type of your 1-person tent, you need to know the area of use. While there are one-person tents and similar models that are specially designed for alpine use and can therefore withstand heavy snow loads and extreme weather, there are also two-person tents whose materials are suitable for warmer regions. The latter offer optimal ventilation and usually consist of an inner mosquito tent that reliably protects against annoying insects.
There are also one-person tents and similar models that, thanks to their uncomplicated setup, are suitable for regions with frequent rain. Because 1-person tents usually consist of an inner tent combined with a robust outer tent, such two-person tents provide the best possible protection against storms and rain.
