Disposal

Information according to the Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG)

In our shop, we offer electrical and electronic equipment that falls under the Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG). When these become waste, they are referred to as "waste equipment." Proper disposal of "waste equipment" is important to us.

Owners can recognize waste equipment at the end of its life cycle by the symbol of a crossed-out garbage can. Waste batteries and accumulators that are not enclosed by the waste equipment must be separated from it before disposal. Owners of waste equipment from private households can take it to the collection points of public waste management authorities or to the return points set up by manufacturers or distributors within the meaning of ElektroG. They do not belong in household waste! An online directory of collection and return points can be found here.

This ensures that the waste equipment is properly recycled and negative impacts on the environment are avoided.

We are a member of the "take-e-back" return system, our WEEE reg. no. is DE 65010510. For more information, visit www.take-e-back.de

Information according to the Battery Act (BattG)

In our shop, we offer batteries and accumulators that fall under the Battery Act (BattG). Proper disposal of used batteries is important to us.

Used batteries can contain harmful substances that can damage the environment or your health if not stored or disposed of properly. However, batteries also contain important raw materials that can be recycled.

Batteries containing harmful substances are marked with a symbol consisting of a crossed-out garbage can and the chemical symbol (Cd/cadmium, Hg/mercury, or Pb/lead) of the heavy metal that is decisive for the classification as harmful.

As a consumer, you are legally obliged to dispose of used batteries properly. Disposal in household waste is expressly prohibited by the BattG. You can return used batteries and accumulators free of charge at a municipal collection point or in local stores. Of course, you can return the batteries purchased from us after use to one of our branches or send them to us by post, discharged and sufficiently stamped.
