The Petromax hanging fire bowl for tripods (56 cm) combines cooking, roasting, and braising over an open fire with the feel of a Wild West kitchen. The rod eyelet secures the bowl to the hook of the Petromax tripod. There, the fire bowl heats up quickly and gently cooks meat in its own juices. Depending on your needs, the hanging fire bowl can be hung closer to or further away from the fire, as the tripod chain is height-adjustable.
The shape of the bowl creates different cooking zones: the heat is highest in the center, ideal for searing meat and vegetables. These can then be pushed to the edge to keep warm.
The hanging fire bowl should be seasoned before first use to allow a patina and natural non-stick coating to develop. Before each use, the screw connection between the hanging fire bowl and the rod eyelet should be checked and tightened if necessary.
