This high-quality, practical bivouac tent was developed for extreme weather conditions and can be stowed compactly in the compression bag. The water and wind-resistant, breathable and abrasion resistant coating of the tent keeps the user dry and minimizes condensation inside the tent. With the Aluminum poles, the head portion can be put up like a tent. The large opening with YKK zippers provides ample space for getting in and out. Depending on the weather, the storm flap can be left open and closed with the mosquito net or it can be closed with the storm flap for full protection against wind and weather. The storage bag has two compression straps, a shoulder strap and an additional handle.

- Taped seams
- Two tabs for tent stakes on each side (not included)

I would have liked more watertightness, a storm passed over me and I did not stay dry for long :( Small rain is ok, but big storm rain, not waterproof enough...

You get a solid Biwy Tent for the price but you definitely can'T sell Carinthia or Observer quality at this price, the material withstands drizzle. I would also fully recommend him in winter. However, in heavy rain, never without tarp. The zipper on the “hatch” on the side of the head is waterproof and seals anything else, the smallest drop flight radically penetrates there. Save yourself and buy the original if you want to crash in heavy rain without hesitation and want to be safe from wind and weather in all situations. To just try it out or camp for nice weather or just as I said in winter but absolutely great for the price. However, when I lie in with a sleeping pad and pillow, my nose kisses as well as the blanket of the biwy no real circulation and condensation.

The Defcon 5 bivouac tent has its advantages but also its disadvantages: In my opinion, here are the benefits: It is quite small in pack size and is quick and easy to set up. At cooler temperatures, you can leave the “window” closed at the back. In warm temperatures, however, it is ideal to leave the bivouac tent open at the front and back. I've never had problems with condensation in summer. The frame gives you plenty of headroom, which is really pleasant. I am 1.78 meters tall and have enough space (without luggage) in the bivouac tent. In my opinion, here are disadvantages and suggestions for improvement: The inner underside is too smooth in my opinion. A band or hook in the upper head area to attach a flashlight would be very useful. There should be devices on the outer sides to use pegs there too to give the bivouac tent a little more stability. My biggest criticism, however, is the zipper, which also broke in one night. Every good pair of pants has a better zipper sewn on it. The return and communication with ASMC was great.

Tested for just over 1 year and I'm satisfied!! Small, handy, lightweight and set up in 2 minutes. I slept in it at 25° in summer and - 8° in winter. Condensed water is available, but that's the case with everyone. You can counteract the formation of condensation by leaving the ventilation open at the front and a small gap on your feet! The only negative thing I really notice is that he could easily have been a bit bigger. If you want to take your sleeping pad with you, it will be really tight. Even if you place the bag on the mat, the height of the mat is missing on the inside. With a thickness of 10 cm, it will be tight. But this bag always accompanies me outside, as it is the perfect solution for me when things need to be done quickly. I absolutely recommend this product++

I've had the good piece for just over a year, and now allow myself to make a judgement. The bag was used in spring, summer, autumn and winter for 50 nights!! My experience tells me that the more expensive well-known product does not keep you dryer or have less condensate in the bag! Condensation is normal though, and can't be avoided no matter what!! I am absolutely satisfied with the price and the quality, after finite nights everything is still fine. The only cheap one with a front opening for watching or cooking or or or. My only criticism is that it could easily get up to 10 cm more height, and other colors would be great too. But the Italian camouflage is actually not bad here!! Conclusion: Great part for little money!
