Helikon-Tex - Liberty Jacket Double Fleece

I've had this jacket for over 2 years now. I had worn them every day on duty for a long time until we finally got new and usable service jackets. That's why I now mostly wear them privately and for my outdoor activities such as hiking or bushcraft. I find them very well thought-out, warm and comfortable. It's become one of my favorite jackets. The only drawback: The Helikon jackets are all too big. But really. I am 181 cm tall and weighed 105 kg when I bought the jacket. Normally I always had XL on all my clothes. But I had to exchange them and have them delivered in L. By the way, it worked great back then at ASMC. Praise for that! I have now lost 8 kg, i.e. 97 kg currently and I will probably have to order them again in M. So I have no idea where the Helkon Schneider got their size charts from, but they are not from this period. That's why only 4 stars.

The fleece jacket is well made and really warm. Can you also wear it in winter when temperatures are below zero. The only drawback is that the jacket is already quite loose.

It keeps you very warm so that I only need a T-shirt and a thin sweater on hikes this year. I ordered size L from my size of 1.85 and weight approx. 80 kilos. The jacket is a bit wider so that you can't put on another jacket, but this is not necessary because no water can penetrate even during small showers.

The workmanship and features of Helikon Tex are really great, unfortunately their units of measurement are more than Strange. Everything is somehow too big, too wide, too baggy. The sweater is really super warm and feels valuable, but if it sticks off you like a dress, it can't really warm you. Definitely a good choice for men with more weight on their hips, unfortunately not for slim ones.
