The U.S. Ripstop Rain Poncho is a versatile poncho with an adjustable hood, drawstring, and stopper. The sealed seams keep you dry in rainy weather, and the snap buttons along the sides make it reversible.

I tested the poncho last weekend from Thursday to Saturday at Dauertegen in Allgäu. Great part, kept me completely dry!! And I was even able to sit on wet benches!

US Regenponcho Ripstop Schwarz

The description said 780g in weight. I expected a thick layer of PU like a good old Bundeswehr poncho. No. This one only weighs 350g, is therefore thin and rustles really loud. The material is so thin that I won't dare to stretch it as a tarp like I usually do with the BW ponchos. But I will still keep it because it can be packaged in a nice and small way and does its job as a poncho.

Beautiful camouflage! Very very good impermeability and solidity! But no other benefits. A tarpaulin is just as good, this poncho is not breathable at all, after 30 minutes of walking you are in a pressure cooker and as soaked as if it were not there.. The size does not protect a large backpack. This poncho has ended its life cut into small pieces to pass through the sewing machine and make beautiful little waterproof bags.
