Mil-Tec - BW Mountain Boots

Shoes only worn occasionally within a few weeks: the inner lining and sole dissolve. If I had drunk up the money, it would have been invested more wisely...

I have had the boots for about 6 months but I don't know where I ordered them anymore. When they were new, it squeezed at the end of the shaft for about a week, then my leg got used to it. For me, the squeezing only starts on the second day, regardless of which new boots I wear. After slipping on for the first time, I was absolutely amazed at how comfortable it is. Sits perfectly for me. After about 2 weeks, there was a creaking in the right boot, which was suddenly gone after about 2 months. Now the boots are as comfortable as sneakers. I wear them for up to 10 hours a day, both professionally and privately. The only drawback is that you really have to watch out for wet, smooth stone slabs. You shouldn't make a quick change of direction there. If you do it, you're lying on your nose. On wet, smooth stone floors and steel grids, the boots are really slippery. When you know that, they're really fun. The original insole should be replaced by another one, otherwise the foot will just slide. After that, it's time. Why am I giving five stars? Because for this price, you get a boot that is super comfortable and well made. I would have liked to have had these boots during my BW period (93/94). If they're done, I'll buy them again.

After approx. 200 km of mileage on dirt roads and asphalt, feet are constantly moist from below, even in frosty temperatures.

Grauenhaft I've worn the boots for a good 300 meters and can say that I've never had such junk on my feet before. Less than €20 shoes have ever topped that. Let's get down to the nitty-gritty. The shoes are very chunky, good for a mountain that can be great, of course, but here it comes... the shoe itself is as stiff as *concrete* the shoe inserts simply slide back and forth in the shoe, making the feet completely float. If the path only has a slight slope, you constantly slide your toes forward against the boot... after just a few meters, an insert almost rolled out of the boot... I've really never experienced anything like that before... I wonder how these *reviews* came about, a rogue who thinks bad. Had the exchange period not been over well then the shoes wouldn't rot in the trunk...

Meets my expectations.
