The Shemagh is already very thin, if you get stuck somewhere or tear on the fabric then it would break. However, I haven't noticed that the Shemagh dissolves or the seams come off (even after machine washing), so it's still not a bad buy. If you know how to tie a Shemagh, you can wear it in summer as well as in winter. As a scarf, it also works wonderfully in winter and keeps you warm.
