Finnish heritage brand for over 50 years

Savotta is regarded as a tried-and-tested traditional brand for good reason. Founded in 1955, this family-owned company inspires professional emergency services and outdoor enthusiasts alike with its high-quality products that withstand even the harshest conditions.

In the 1950s, founder Allan Halme began producing bags, gloves and backpacks. At first, he sold exclusively to forestry workers under the company name Pyllkönmäen Lederwaren.

The quality of his products quickly became known, orders steadily increased and Halme eventually had a small factory built and began employing several staff. Strong demand soon led him to expand his product range to include additional backpack models as well as travel and motorcycle bags.

Orders continued to grow, so that by the mid-1960s he had a second production facility built. From this point on, his customer base no longer consisted solely of private customers, but also of specialist retailers and the Finnish armed forces, who appreciated Savotta’s quality.

Today, Savotta is a popular brand far beyond Finland’s borders and has established itself among professionals and outdoor enthusiasts.
