• Use the cleanest and clearest water available.
• Filtering muddy, cloudy, glacial, or heavily browned water can clog the filter.
• Discard the first 200 ml of water on first use.
• Protect the wet filter from frost! The optimal temperature range is between 0° and 40° Celsius.
• Do NOT use a microwave or dishwasher to clean or disinfect the filter.
• Children should only use this filter under adult supervision.
• There are hazards associated with international travel and the use of water filters. Drinking untreated water can lead to exposure to harmful microorganisms and an increased risk of gastrointestinal illness.
• Never use the filter to treat seawater or chemically contaminated water sources, such as water from mining ponds or from areas near agricultural operations. The filter does NOT remove chemicals and radioactive materials or particles smaller than 0.1 microns.
• Improper use of this filter increases the risk of exposure to harmful microorganisms and increases the risk of gastrointestinal illness. To reduce these risks, please follow the warnings and instructions in the user manual.
• You are responsible for your own safety and the safety of those in your group. Keep the intake hose and other potentially contaminated parts away from filtered water to avoid cross-contamination.
