Thanks to its special surface structure, the cast-iron pot stores heat for an exceptionally long time. It is often also referred to as a Dutch oven and is ideal for cooking and baking outdoors over an open fire, but it can also be used in the oven.
The surface has already been pre-treated (seasoned finish), so the pot can be used directly without prior seasoning. The raised lid rim allows you to place embers or charcoal on top so that the heat is distributed evenly. Thanks to the three feet it stands securely, and a hole for inserting a thermometer allows you to check the temperature without having to lift the lid.
With its 6-liter capacity, the pot is suitable for dishes for 4–8 people, and the lid can be turned over and used as a pan or serving plate.
