“Light for the whole world” – LED Lenser
LED Lenser and the sun therefore have a lot in common: they bring light into the darkness and brighten the world. Their passion – lamps – is backed by years of expertise and motivation for what they do. This very commitment provides us and the world with outstanding flashlights and headlamps for every application.
It all started in a garage with two brothers who had an idea for a flashlight: the LED LENSER® V8. It is one of the best-selling LED flashlights in Europe. With this model, the brothers also met with strong international response and were able to make the leap from a startup to an internationally operating company.
Despite this, the company Led Lenser has remained down-to-earth in Solingen. Harald and Rainer Opolka are the founders of Led Lenser and do not see themselves as classic entrepreneurs or “capitalists”. This is also reflected in their corporate policy, as employees are at the center of the company. LED Lenser invests in company housing and further training, clearly signaling that its skilled employees are the company’s capital. In doing so, Led Lenser also secures a high level of innovation and outstanding material quality for its products.
Thought out down to the last detail – German engineering
LED Lenser never stands still. This is reflected in the outstanding functionality and quality of its products. Continuous optimization of the flagship models and practical features at the cutting edge of technology ensure that the products are always up to date. The think tank, as they affectionately call their product development department, is located in Solingen, North Rhine-Westphalia. This is where designs for new products are created and existing items undergo a continuous improvement process. What is designed in Solingen then goes to China for production. Both prototypes and large production runs are manufactured there.
All products leaving the production facility are thoroughly tested first. LED Lenser flashlights and headlamps must withstand extreme temperatures and must not lose quality due to moisture, pressure or impacts. To ensure this, extensive quality control is the final step for every lamp before it goes to market.
