OTIS – the professional for gun cleaning

The origin of OTIS weapon cleaning systems was basically an accident:

A 16-year-old girl was out hunting with her father when their boat hit a root in shallow water and she, along with her grandfather’s Model 94 Winchester, fell into the muddy water. Her attempts to clean the weapon on the spot failed.

This, together with her family’s deep-rooted love of firearms, led her in the following years to search for ways to clean and maintain weapons effectively in the outdoors. The requirements were high – the quality had to be flawless, the product unrivaled. Eventually, the testing procedures were successful and the company OTIS Technology Inc. was founded. Today, it occupies a leading position in the field of weapon cleaning.

The OTIS weapon cleaning systems and their components are manufactured in the company’s own production facility in Phoenix. A special feature: Wear-free parts come with a lifetime warranty. This underlines OTIS’s confidence in the quality of its products, which are used by the military among others and have also become established in hunting and other outdoor fields.

The weapon cleaning systems are based on the so-called “Breech-to-Muzzle® Cleaning System” with the Otis Memory-Flex® rod. Among experts, they are considered the most advanced: The weapon does not need to be disassembled, fouling is reliably removed, no residue is left behind and the interior remains undamaged. Cleaning is carried out using tightly woven cotton elements and the fine-bristled Otis Tufcor® brushes in various sizes. A specially developed cleaning solution simultaneously lubricates the weapon while leaving coatings intact.

The Otis cleaning kits are designed for weapons of common calibers and types; accordingly, the components differ in size or adapt during use. The entire set is stored in a handy pouch that is easy to transport.
